Father and Son Kickin it!

Ever since Brett was 3, he has loved Monster Trucks. Wade wanted to name him Trucks maybe that's why ( I know, good thing I put my foot down). He even has nicknamed himself The Gravedigger for his football name. For those of you that aren't well versed in Redneck sports, Gravedigger is the name of a truck. Wade saw they were coming to town, and he surprised Brett with tickets to the show, and pit passes to go down on the floor, and meet the drivers, and check their trucks out. He was actually able to ride in one, and Wade said he didn't stop smiling the whole time. Brett said it was just like finding out we were going to Disneyland ( Hm? Something's wrong with this kid.)

Wade gave him 20$ to get a truck he wanted and some popcorn. He came back with ice cream, a pretzel, cotton candy, and that was after he had a personal pizza and some popcorn. So much for souvenirs! He said" But mom it was Strawberry Cheesecake Crunch" . He had a blast, and still talks about it. Wade let him take some video and it was so bumpy we couldn't watch it. Wade said he was so excited watching it, he was jumping up and down. Funny kid.

Paityn is 5

Paityn turned 5. I am so sad. It sucks having them grow older. She had a fun birthday. We went to Chuck E Cheese. She has wanted to go since she was 3 and saw it on TV. Somehow, I lost the pictures from there. It was dirty, but she had a blast.

Christmas Day

We had a great Christmas. Probably the best one we've had in a long time. It is so nice to have family around. Our family is pretty close, one of my Embone said she would give up all her presents just to be with us for Christmas. They were here for Thanx day so that wasn't going to happen, but I' m so glad our kids love each other, and we all get along. (most of the time)Christmas morning was great. We took it slow and present opening was a lot longer than the usual ripping open and tossing to the side!! They checked out Santas gifts then, they played some of their Wii games, while I took care of my camera downloads. (Preparation next year) About 2 hours later, we opened our gifts to each other one by one. Then we had Breakfast. Cheese danish, and potatoe casserole. I'm telling you this no cooking on Christmas thing is great!!!

The kids waiting to be told they can come downstairs to see what Santa brought.

Christmas Eve

Cute new jammies our Christmas Eve Tradition.

Christmas Eve was so fun. Rick took us around caroling in his toy trailer. It was so stinking cold, I could hardly stand it!!

Look how pink their cheeks were, and that was just from sitting there waiting to leave.

What a faker!! It was cold though as I've mentioned before. Have I mentioned it was COLD!

Ready to go!!

Talk about being prepared.

For Christmas Eve dinner, we broke tradition and went out!! BRILLIANT!! It was the smartest thing we have ever done. We actually were able to enjoy the Eve. We went to Toucanos, our family's favorite Churrascaria (Shew Hass Ka Rea) the brazilian meat house. Ew, it was so dang good, and no dishes, and someone else cleaned up the spills!! Brett sat on Santas lap, much to his dismay. He was embarassed and wouldn't even look at me. We have a rule in our house though, if you don't believe you don't receive! Even Lindsey.

Ellie forgot her jacket, so Nana was nice enough to let her use hers.

We went to the funnest place, it's called the River Bottoms in Orem. It was beautiful, decorated, they had crafts for kids, Santa, Gas Fires everywhere, and Shopping!! AWESOME!!

Ya, that's snow. Cute Paity trying to shovel for Wade. Have you ever seen Seven Brides for Seven Brothers? The scene where all the girls are in one bedroom looking out the window and all there is is snow, snow, and more snow. I feel like that sometimes. After Christmas the magic of snow passes. I love to watch it snow, but hate driving, freezing, and shoveling it!!

You know, we're raising these girls right when they just get up and start doing dishes. Love my girls!! Lindsey and Embone
This is the first Thanksgiving in probably 10 years that my family was all able to be together. Ryan and Lisa came down from Montana. It was so much fun. We shopped at Kohl's day after Thanksgiving at 3 AM, we had a temple trip, a Trampoline trip, and awesome food!!
This is the girls resting after "Jump On It", Oh my heck, it was such a blast!!! We had the best time. If you haven't been to this place, or a joint like it. I highly recommend it. It's so fun to be a kid again. Just make sure you go to the bathroom first, before jumping.

My cute brother Ryan maybe he didn't go to the bathroom first, not sure what he's doing.

Salt Lake Temple Trip. It was so blinking cold. FAREEZING!!!!

My turkey was so good, Dad couldn't resist sucking the carcass!! ha. I mean it was really good, if I do say so myself. Brining turkey is the only way, I must mention Em prepared it. Touching raw turkey Yeck!!!!

There's my sweet girls again. All 9 months apart. Haley, then Linds, then Emily, or Embone. They are like the 3 musketeers. Can't seperate them. Aunt Em in the back trying to get in.

Oh, there I am, now I know why I'm not in many pics.

Rick getting mushrooms ready.

No Dogs on the furniture girls!! THese boys think they're lap dogs.

Night of the big blizzard. Wade drug Brett and Burke around on the sled behind the Tahoe. They came back with ice on their lashes, and cheeks so pink and cold. They had to go jump in to the shower just to warm up. Brrrrr

My mom's Thanksgiving village. My mom has always decorated our house for every holiday. It was so fun to see the change. Now we kids do the same thing. She also has about 50 different dish sets and always done fun dinners and parties with themes.

This was the snow we got after the big blizzard and night of sledding. SHEESH!!

November brought Brett's 11th Birthday and his Arrow of Light. (I picture that with an echo sound).

Wade made his arrow for him. It turned out so cool. What a good dad.

Halloween and Brett's Birthday

My pictures got muddled, so we'll start a little crazy. Halloween was miserable. Rainy and yucky, we had done so much Halloween stuff that by Halloween night it was old. Crazy as Halloween is one of my favorite Holidays. We went to the Farm in PG, and had a blast that day, then trick or treated at the old Sleepy Hollow Bridge Development. Wade and I fought and the kids were so cold and miserable we all were ready for it to be over, bummer.
Brett's birthday was a combination halloween party, birthday. Not many people read the invitations I guess, he only had 3 people bring gifts. Oh well. We went to Trafalga with the family, played mini golf, and rode,go-karts, and hit baseballs in the cages. It was a good birthday for him. Plus he got his new Mongoose that he had been asking for.

Woops, Paityn was a Jeanie obviously, and the costume was so fun to make.

It's a pet, it's a pillow, it's a pillow pet.

After we came home. Lindsey had already changed into her pj's. I made her get her costume back on for a picture, since I couldn't take any outside.

I can't believe it's only one more year until he passes the sacrament and gets the Priesthood. Wow, time flies!!
