Shoe Tying, and Human Rights, oh and bowling.

Finally caught up. I don't think I have left any event out. For those of you few who check our blog. You can't say I'm behind on my blog now!! MLK day some of Lindseys friends and I went to the Red Cross for a Human Rights Day. They had War refugees there. 5 boys from Kenya. They learned about what rights were important to them, and then they had to build on paper a refugee camp. It was a very interesting experience. One of the boys has never seen some of his siblings, and his father was killed when he was 5. They lived in a refugee camp for a time, and then their families were moved here. They have been here for about 7 years. The interesting thing was even though they left their own countries when they were 10, they don't remember much about them at a ll. Wonder if it is from the trauma.

We all got awesome backpacks for going, and they had to show them off!
Paity ties her own shoes. I'm so glad and so sad at the same time.
