Easter like it Should BE!

What would Easter be without 70 degrees and a swimming pool!! What an awesome Easter. It was so beautiful in Vegas. It was so nice to be warm and to sit outside in the sun! The kids swam, had Easter egg hunts, and best of all the money hunt in the pool. That is going to have to be a new tradition! The kids absolutely loved it. Poor Paityn she had a fever all week and was so sick. The one day she got in the pool she found money though, so it was fun. I talked Tracy into coming down with me on Tuesday afternoon. She was not packed or anything and she just flew by the seat of her pants. Baby and all. I was so impressed. And best of all "Settlers" It's a new game McKay introduced us to. The weekend wouldn't have been complete without a raring game of Settlers. Of course it would be nice to have someone other than McKay win, but hey 15 games later, what can you do about it? Look out McKay cuz next time it's going to be Pit. Barley, Barley, Barley, Corn, Corn,Corn, PIT!!!Thanx G ma and G pa for putting up with all the craziness, and for the food, and drinks, and fun!

Pool Egg Hunt

The city pool had an Easter Egg Hunt in the pool. They put marbles in some of the eggs, so they would sink. It was so fun. All Brett could do was smile. He kept losing his eggs when he dove and it was so funny. They had a great time! After the hunt, I got some pretty good videos of Wade diving. He wasn't very excited about me videotaping him, but I couldn't resist.

Sew Fun!

Ever since Paityn was born, Lindsey has wanted matching dresses. This year I thought I would make them. I found matching material. Lindsey's is brown with turquoise polka dots and Paityns is Turquoise with brown polka dots. They turned out better than I hoped! It only took 2 days for each dress!!! That shows you what a terrible sewer I am. It definitely shouldn't have taken that long, but next time it should go faster. I really love to sew and hopefully I'll get better. Practice makes perfect right? Or at least practice makes it a little easier to understand next time.

My Monet

My sweet Angel!! Ya Right!!!

She looks so innocent when she's not writing on a white tub with permanent magic marker. I was on the phone (of course)and came in to find THIS!

The marker did eventually come off after I bleached the snot out of it, and after 2 or 3 baths in the tub. Thank Heavens! This is why as most of you know I don't talk on the phone very often. My kids are very curious and I am very grateful they are! I'm grateful they are not content to just sit and play video games or whatever, they have to be active. It is a blessing and a curse.

O.K. Seriously!! While I was blogging this, Paityn was doing this.

She emptied the whole canister of Brown Sugar and played in it like sand. She smashed it into the carpet.

She may not make it to 3years old. :)

Music

Just a little blog about our "Juke" choices. I feel there are some that need explanation. You see, I am a music lover. I love almost all Genres from Jazz to Classical, Classic Rock to Country, Opera to 80's. I love almost every kind of music, but rap and most R&B I have to say.
The "Juke" has been a source of contention with Wade and me. I spent hours looking through music and picking the songs I loved, and he in one day came in put on his and erased all of my choices. I was raised with music loving parents. They both taught me to not only love music, but to hear and appreciate the talent and listen to the lyrics. It is sometimes a curse. If the lyrics aren't good I wont listen to the song. Wade on the other hand wont listen to the lyrics, but listens to the beat. As you can see this causes problems.
The last "Juke" he put on AC/DC. I DRAW THE LINE! I will admit that there are even some Def Leppard songs I will listen to, but most of his choices are beyond my level of O.K.ness. So, I have put a few of his and a few of mine on here.
Almost all songs for me bring memories. For instance: Styx reminds me of my Brother in law Bill. Don't know why, they just remind me of him in his younger days;Neil Diamond reminds me of Janet; Madness reminds me of driving over off of Jones in my sisters Little Blue Corolla; Wang Chung reminds me of Wade. So many memories. I just love music. I bet if you sat down and thought about some of your favorite songs they would bring back memories. There is one song from Maroon 5 that reminds me of driving in Georgia in the fall time and smelling leaves burning. Very weird. One last thing: Rascal Flatts has a great song on here called "Stand" it is a very inspirational song, I reccommend it as a really good listen. Then of course there are those of you who could care less about the music, but I love it!!

Brett had a Mommies and Muffins day at his school.

We got to go and read stories with our kids for about a half an hour and it was awesome!

Paityn and I came home and took a self portrait. Never take a picture of yourself this close. No Bueno!! It was a really good day,and it's so fun to see your kids get excited that you are coming to school. I'm sure some day there wont be very much excitement, so I better live it up. I had to stop helping in the classroom when Paityn was born, so I really miss being with them in school!

DAYS OF SUMMER

Now that cabin fever has officially kicked in. I'm looking forward to the things we get to do this summer. First waterfights, swimming, and floating down the canal, next all the fun trips and sights we get to see. Next FOOTBALL Brett and I had a blast coaching the high school football team this year they went 6-4 this year, it was there first winning season in 15 years, we had 5 players on the all-state team (two of them receivers which I coach), and the last thing I'm looking forward to is the crewcut haircut.
