Laying out on a freezing cold day. Bummer. No more Montana in July. We'll have to wait til August!

What a poser. Lindsey used to do the same thing!
The wind and water was so stinking cold. You can see it on the girls faces!
The fish from ye olde fishing hole! They fished every day. They fished and fished and fished.
Look at those smiles. They lost all of Wade's special lures. Wade kept giving them a hard time about how much money they cost. They even wanted to make some of their own. There was still a lure in the tree when I went to go look at Wade's fishing spot. Brett lost 2, and the next day Dalin said" how bout the next person that loses a lure doesn't get to fish anymore." Well, Dalin was the first one to lose the lure, so he went over to Brett and said"Your dad said I get to use the pole for awhile". Brett didn't know that Dalin lost the lure until Wade said "Dalin, why are you using Brett's pole?" He answered "I lost my lure, and I still wanted to fish. These will be great memories.
Next fishing story: The hole they were fishing at was Private Property. It was a condo complex. While Wade was fishing the boys were off to the side a little, and a lady came up to Wade and said Hi Greg right? He said ya hi. She said How's Stephanie, and how's your little boy? Wade said Stephanie is fine, and Colton is a little under the weather. She said, are you guys coming to Dianas party? He said ya sure, and she said; Here is a card write something nice about her. She's the HOA pres and she does so much for us. Meanwhile Dalin walked up and said"Uncle Wade?" He pushed him aside and said to the lady "Hey no problem, we'll see you then. He just kept right on fishing. We were dying laughing when he told us that story. It was so funny, and totally Wade, he couldn't let his fishing hole be taken away.
Putting in hair tinsel

4th of July Parade. It was so fun. They had a Caliope, and Brett and Dalin got to walk in the Parade for the Boy Scouts, and hand out Otter Pops

Bill and Lisa live in the Mountains, but the Lake is just down the way. You can see the Lake from every window in the house, and it is so beautiful. We decided to have tin foil dinners. Uncle Wade makes some madd tinfoil dinners. How fun to do that in your front yard. Yes, that's the front yard. Holy moly!

Lindsey has an amazing serve. She is doing so well in Volleyball. Wade is coaching her to be a setter. She doesn't have the height like McKenna that she wants (6ft), so she'll be a setter. Her vertical is pretty good though!

I am so behind this will just be a myriad of pictures to get me caught up!! Ugh!

Shoe Tying, and Human Rights, oh and bowling.

Finally caught up. I don't think I have left any event out. For those of you few who check our blog. You can't say I'm behind on my blog now!! MLK day some of Lindseys friends and I went to the Red Cross for a Human Rights Day. They had War refugees there. 5 boys from Kenya. They learned about what rights were important to them, and then they had to build on paper a refugee camp. It was a very interesting experience. One of the boys has never seen some of his siblings, and his father was killed when he was 5. They lived in a refugee camp for a time, and then their families were moved here. They have been here for about 7 years. The interesting thing was even though they left their own countries when they were 10, they don't remember much about them at a ll. Wonder if it is from the trauma.

We all got awesome backpacks for going, and they had to show them off!

Paity ties her own shoes. I'm so glad and so sad at the same time.

She is so proud of herself. We had to go visit Wade at work just to show him what she could do.

Last Saturday, we went bowling. We had a great time, not! The kids fought, and argued, and

Lindsey resented the fact that Dad would try to help her bowl correctly. Imagine!!Can you tell? Aw, teenagers.

Brett was pretty good, they had fun after awhile

We got a Michael Jackson wii dance game for Christmas. Since then, Brett has moonwalked everywhere we go.
The sun is shining, and kids are getting happier!! :)

Paityn loved her bowling shoes. What a cool thing, you get shoes when you come here?

Ever since Brett was 3, he has loved Monster Trucks. Wade wanted to name him Trucks maybe that's why ( I know, good thing I put my foot down). He even has nicknamed himself The Gravedigger for his football name. For those of you that aren't well versed in Redneck sports, Gravedigger is the name of a truck. Wade saw they were coming to town, and he surprised Brett with tickets to the show, and pit passes to go down on the floor, and meet the drivers, and check their trucks out. He was actually able to ride in one, and Wade said he didn't stop smiling the whole time. Brett said it was just like finding out we were going to Disneyland ( Hm? Something's wrong with this kid.)

Wade gave him 20$ to get a truck he wanted and some popcorn. He came back with ice cream, a pretzel, cotton candy, and that was after he had a personal pizza and some popcorn. So much for souvenirs! He said" But mom it was Strawberry Cheesecake Crunch" . He had a blast, and still talks about it. Wade let him take some video and it was so bumpy we couldn't watch it. Wade said he was so excited watching it, he was jumping up and down. Funny kid.

Paityn is 5

Paityn turned 5. I am so sad. It sucks having them grow older. She had a fun birthday. We went to Chuck E Cheese. She has wanted to go since she was 3 and saw it on TV. Somehow, I lost the pictures from there. It was dirty, but she had a blast.

Christmas Day

We had a great Christmas. Probably the best one we've had in a long time. It is so nice to have family around. Our family is pretty close, one of my Embone said she would give up all her presents just to be with us for Christmas. They were here for Thanx day so that wasn't going to happen, but I' m so glad our kids love each other, and we all get along. (most of the time)Christmas morning was great. We took it slow and present opening was a lot longer than the usual ripping open and tossing to the side!! They checked out Santas gifts then, they played some of their Wii games, while I took care of my camera downloads. (Preparation next year) About 2 hours later, we opened our gifts to each other one by one. Then we had Breakfast. Cheese danish, and potatoe casserole. I'm telling you this no cooking on Christmas thing is great!!!

The kids waiting to be told they can come downstairs to see what Santa brought.

Christmas Eve

Cute new jammies our Christmas Eve Tradition.

Christmas Eve was so fun. Rick took us around caroling in his toy trailer. It was so stinking cold, I could hardly stand it!!

Look how pink their cheeks were, and that was just from sitting there waiting to leave.

What a faker!! It was cold though as I've mentioned before. Have I mentioned it was COLD!

Ready to go!!

Talk about being prepared.

For Christmas Eve dinner, we broke tradition and went out!! BRILLIANT!! It was the smartest thing we have ever done. We actually were able to enjoy the Eve. We went to Toucanos, our family's favorite Churrascaria (Shew Hass Ka Rea) the brazilian meat house. Ew, it was so dang good, and no dishes, and someone else cleaned up the spills!! Brett sat on Santas lap, much to his dismay. He was embarassed and wouldn't even look at me. We have a rule in our house though, if you don't believe you don't receive! Even Lindsey.

Ellie forgot her jacket, so Nana was nice enough to let her use hers.

We went to the funnest place, it's called the River Bottoms in Orem. It was beautiful, decorated, they had crafts for kids, Santa, Gas Fires everywhere, and Shopping!! AWESOME!!

Ya, that's snow. Cute Paity trying to shovel for Wade. Have you ever seen Seven Brides for Seven Brothers? The scene where all the girls are in one bedroom looking out the window and all there is is snow, snow, and more snow. I feel like that sometimes. After Christmas the magic of snow passes. I love to watch it snow, but hate driving, freezing, and shoveling it!!
