Thanksgiving Ables Style

You know, we're raising these girls right when they just get up and start doing dishes. Love my girls!! Lindsey and Embone
This is the first Thanksgiving in probably 10 years that my family was all able to be together. Ryan and Lisa came down from Montana. It was so much fun. We shopped at Kohl's day after Thanksgiving at 3 AM, we had a temple trip, a Trampoline trip, and awesome food!!
This is the girls resting after "Jump On It", Oh my heck, it was such a blast!!! We had the best time. If you haven't been to this place, or a joint like it. I highly recommend it. It's so fun to be a kid again. Just make sure you go to the bathroom first, before jumping.

Salt Lake Temple Trip. It was so blinking cold. FAREEZING!!!!

My turkey was so good, Dad couldn't resist sucking the carcass!! ha. I mean it was really good, if I do say so myself. Brining turkey is the only way, I must mention Em prepared it. Touching raw turkey Yeck!!!!





There's my sweet girls again. All 9 months apart. Haley, then Linds, then Emily, or Embone. They are like the 3 musketeers. Can't seperate them. Aunt Em in the back trying to get in.

Night of the big blizzard. Wade drug Brett and Burke around on the sled behind the Tahoe. They came back with ice on their lashes, and cheeks so pink and cold. They had to go jump in to the shower just to warm up. Brrrrr

My mom's Thanksgiving village. My mom has always decorated our house for every holiday. It was so fun to see the change. Now we kids do the same thing. She also has about 50 different dish sets and always done fun dinners and parties with themes.

This was the snow we got after the big blizzard and night of sledding. SHEESH!!

Halloween and Brett's Birthday

My pictures got muddled, so we'll start a little crazy. Halloween was miserable. Rainy and yucky, we had done so much Halloween stuff that by Halloween night it was old. Crazy as Halloween is one of my favorite Holidays. We went to the Farm in PG, and had a blast that day, then trick or treated at the old Sleepy Hollow Bridge Development. Wade and I fought and the kids were so cold and miserable we all were ready for it to be over, bummer.
Brett's birthday was a combination halloween party, birthday. Not many people read the invitations I guess, he only had 3 people bring gifts. Oh well. We went to Trafalga with the family, played mini golf, and rode,go-karts, and hit baseballs in the cages. It was a good birthday for him. Plus he got his new Mongoose that he had been asking for.

Woops, Paityn was a Jeanie obviously, and the costume was so fun to make.


It's a pet, it's a pillow, it's a pillow pet.



After we came home. Lindsey had already changed into her pj's. I made her get her costume back on for a picture, since I couldn't take any outside.


















I can't believe it's only one more year until he passes the sacrament and gets the Priesthood. Wow, time flies!!

Paityn's new Bike

Paityn has taken off her training wheels and wanted a new bike. We told her if she would practice we would get her a new bike. She did, Brett took her out almost everyday. Between Wade and Brett they got her on her Merry way, now she can't put it down. It took her a while to use her brakes, so she would just ride up on the grass and hop off. Everytime she did, she would run inside to find me and say: I did it Mommy, I rode it all by myself!! This went on for days!! We quickly learned to put pants, boots, and gloves on.

Brett's Undefeated Football Season

Couldn't get any other pics to download, so these will have to suffice. Why is it in blue and underlined? I don't know.


Wade asst. coached Flag football this year. It was AWESOME!! They were undefeated, and they played so well. They had the boys rotate positions. Brett did great quarterbacking. Which in my opinion is a miracle after what happened with his arm! He did fabulous!! He threw an awesome pass in the last few seconds, and they took it home!!! Yay Brett! It even got a little heated. Parents were calling names, and some of the boys got a little physical. Not pretty, but we still won.

Herriman Fire

We came home from Vegas to a plume of smoke coming from our area of town. We didn't really think anything of it, until we pulled up the street to our subdivision and people were loading their horses, and animals into trailers. We drove up to the mouth of the canyon which is only about 2 miles from our house, and watched a small line of fire on the front of our mountain. We watched, and then all of a sudden it came roaring over the top and down towards us. We drove home, and began packing thinking we would be evacuated. First things first: Wade got the dogs in their kennals and in the car (no surprise) then we focused on the family. You know priorities. We walked around trying to figure out what to take. How do you make that kind of decision? Started packing, and, a neighbor knocked on our door, and told us everyone was evacuated but our subdivision, the police were at the entrance we were to wait for the call to pack up and head out. Luckily we have lots of family around, no need to go to the evacuation spot. We watched it get closer and closer to us.Wade went upstairs to Bretts window to watch, and he called down saying the wind had changed and it was heading West. Whew! What a crazy night. After a couple hours we drove around to where we could and watched a house go right up into flames. It burned so quickly it was nuts.It was actually the only house that did. The scars of the fire the next morning were circles around the houses. Thank heavens for quick thinking property owners and all the people who came to help. Lindseys 13th Birthday

She did it, she turned 13! Seriously teenagers? I am not old enough to have one. I still feel like I'm 18. A better teenager though I couldn't ask for. Lindsey is such a good kid. She is very grounded. She likes to have fun, but she "gets things". She is not a raging hormone, emotional, crazy teenager. She is such a great help at home, Paityn's 2nd mother (maybe 1st) and she always knows when I need a hug. Love you Linz!! Opening Presents

The Chocolate Bar. We had a Chocolate Spa Party. It turned out great!! marshmallows, krispie treats, graham crackers, popcorn, fruit, pretzels. ..... Yum.!!
