Start of Summer/ Lagoon

June 7. We drove up to Lehi and got Brett's cast off just in time for LAGOON! Yahoo!!
PPaity on the Animal train.

Aw, cute!

Brett wanted to go it alone. Hopefully he didn't spit on anyone!

The Ferris Wheel was great! I do not like heights, but loved the view

They are nuts! I could never go on that! They love it though!

The water was a little cold.
We went to the Water Park afterwards, and then the Rattlesnake Rapids, and got soaked! Awesome way to start off the summer!

He looks a little to big to be riding in that car!

Explaining the rules "No one goes off alone".......
Luckily we went to the water park. Brett got his cast off, and his arm was NASTY!! So, we didn't have to work on getting all that dead yucky skin off, the water did it for us. EW!! Sorry for those people who have to swim in that water. You never know what's in the Lazy River. hehehe

We hit Boondocks on Monday with cousins. We were there for 8 hours, then I drove home! Talk about exhausted. Luckily Lindsey rode up front to keep me awake!! Ya right, she made it about 5 minutes, then knocked out!!

Girls!
Kayla's hole in one!

Just a little wet from the bumper boats

Aw, Lindsey showing her mother some love, or .... ya she's trying to get me wet!

INside the play house. Paity lasted about 5 min. She wanted to be outside with the big kids!

What a nice cousin to take Paity on a ride

Ginger is screaming before they even get out of the gate. That should give us a hint about Lindsey's driving! Only 3 more years, and she's legal!

Wade's hole in one!

A little difficult with a caste, but he persevered!

Brett's hole in one!

Capture the Flag

Ginger and Jerzee rollin around

Cute drawings girls!!

A MADD game of Four square was going on. The neighbor kids even came over to join in.

Sorry kids. Wade and Uncle McKay have skills! Maybe that's because they changed the rules everytime they were in the leader box.

Oh my goodness, me again. Awesome lunch at Toucanos.

BEES GAME So awesome!! We had a guy in front of us that when the other team was warming up below us (We were at 3rd base) He would go Bewoop everytime the pitcher pitched it, and then Bewoop every time he threw it back. Doesn't make sense telling it, but it sounded just like a cartoon. So funny. By the end of the night the whole crowd was doing it!!

Brett was so ready for a foul ball.

Cheese!! Brett got a ball by the end of the night. He stood right by the other team and asked them everytime they came out to practice. Some guy yelled, "give it to the poor kid, he's got a broken arm" so they did. He worked it!! Then we walked away with about 15 loaves of Grandma Sycamores bread that they gave away at the end of the game.

Memorial Day Weekend was Fabulous!! We went to the Planetarium. The girls went to Mars

They all got to walk on the moon.

Brett got to try on Space Goggles.

Oh.... wait .... who's that? Am I in a picture? Well sakes preserve us.

Weight on Other Worlds. Ya right. You couldn't pay me to step on that scale. It's bad enough on Earth!!Me

Meeting Buzz

Weather Forecasters. Maybe Linz has a future job. Maybe Brett and Paityn do to being.... um.. rappers??

Aah, now that is my Eternity!! Love you hon

You know, sometimes it's so nice to have a nice lazy day at the Park. Hitting baseballs, tennis balls, kites, and just relaxing. This is one of those days that makes you so grateful to be a Mother. So grateful to have a family and a good husband who loves to play with his kids!
Paityn is so Daddy's girl, and with him gone during the week we try to really make the weekends count.

Hopefully he'll always be open and just want to talk.

What's better than a ride down the street on a skateboard with a dog pulling it? Now I ask you. What a great way to start out the summer.

Thanx Aunt Em for a great ride!

No more pins!

The day arrived bright and sunny. I heard a woo-hoo come from down the hall. Brett was awake and yelled, because he was so excited to be getting his pins out. Poor kid, he had no idea what was awaiting him! I wasn't going to tell him that getting his pins pulled was not just like pulling a toothpick out of meat. (The way his Dr.'s described it) Silly doctors you can't fool me. Anyway, off we went to Highland for one of our many appointments. Off with the old and on with the new for the 5th time.

This is his hand with the pins out. Should heal nicely they say. As you can tell I skipped the picture of them actually taking out the pins. Not sure many of you would appreciate the video. Brett gave me permission to use it, but I think I'll pass. Let's just say they brought out the pliers, and warned us of blood. They even asked me if I wanted to leave. DUD!! I love this stuff. He did awesome. They thought they would have to give him some time in between pins, but he did so well they forged ahead. I tell you what he is one brave kid!! He even watched through bouts of pain and groans.

This is the bottle of pins which we were told we could remove from the disinfectant liquid after 2 days when all the blood and flesh was gone. O.K. EW! That was gross.
Now he has a short arm cast, his pins as a souvenir, and only another 2 more weeks to go. So glad. Summer will not be as bad as I thought. We were originally told it would come off right before the 4th of July. Thank Heavens for tender mercies!!

You're a trooper Brett!!
