Ables Reunion 2008 Continued

I don't ever remember that these things go backwards, so sorry!
I just can't believe it is over. We needed the vacation with all the stress going on here. Our third buyer for our house fell through again, Wade has been coaching 2 sports. It has been a crazy year. This trip was the best thing for us in a long time. The anticipation was much more than Christmas even! I am so sad it is over. THe kids really did so amazing, we had the stomach flu going around to each of us too and we still made it. I can't even describe how wonderful it was. It makes me depressed to be back to normal with nothing to look forward to for a long time with my family. I haven't laughed that hard in so long. I cryed a few times from laughing so hard. Lisa peed her pants. It was great. We always have such a good time when we are together, and I am so glad we have such a great legacy to pass down to our children. They will remember these trips with fondness just like we did when we were kids. We are so very blessed to have such an awesome family. Bill Emily and Leah fit right in. We are so blessed to have such great additions to our family. We don't even call them in laws. They are ours. Mom, Dad, Lisa, Bill, Rick, Emily, Ryan, and Leah. I love you so much and I am so grateful to call you my family.
And your little dogs too Aaaahahahahahha!!
Cheer Up Charlie.
Newport Beach was amazing!!! HOW FUN

Rick wouldn't let me take a pic of him in his wetsuit. This is the best I got. He is so funny.

Waiting, waiting, waiting,
Casey Jr. Train
The water ball in Tomorrowland. The kids liked to change the direction with Uncle Ryans help
Tarzans Tree house. Notice all the monkeys. Not in the trees, but on the kids backs. They were a lifesaver, and look so much more humane than the old leashes. There were 4 of them. We needed about 10 though. Hehe
The whole family minus Wade.NOpe he didn't come not at all. Thanx babe for staying home and working for us!! It was so much fun going up in line for the rides and saying 23 please. 14 kids and 9 adults. People just stared. A couple times you could hear people say. Man,that's a lot of kids. Especially with Em and Lisa walking their 5 around. People would just shake their heads. One lady even asked Em once why she had so many. Hahaha

Ables Reunion 2008

Ellie and Paityn on the drive
It has been 6 years since the Ables family has all been together. We have waited and waited with much anticipation for this trip. My little brother Ryan got married in Phoenix so we all flew or drove in for the wedding.
My other brother Rick called about a month ago and told us he was taking us to Disneyland. Now if you know my family you know that a trip anywhere remotely close to California had to include a trip to Disney. Our last family reunion was at where?? Keep guessing.... Yes, Disney. That is the Ables Family thing. My parents went on their honeymoon to Disney and growing up we went twice a year. All 4 of us have included a honeymoon trip to Disney with our whole family. Anyway, Our trip was amazing, and it was so hard to leave. On the last day as we were leaving California I could hear the train whistle from Disney and I even cried a little and had to roll up my window so I couldn't hear it. Not only for leaving there, but our much awaited trip was over. We were together for a fun, amazing week, and the kids were Spectacular!!!!!!

Quick pit stop in St. George.

Our little Bribee. Briar Rose

Most of the adults watching old videos of us as kids. There always has to be included the Amy Olympics where I tripped over a sawhorse, and ate it big time. It was shown to all of my boyfriends, friends and countlesss times together.

Em, and Brad

Oh boober!

My Little Taloola has turned 11. I can't believe my little Linz is so big. I wonder if you ever don't feel like that with your kids. She had a great B. Day. The 5th Grade got to go to Thanksgiving Point today on a field trip and so she thought it was such a special trip planned on her Birthday for her. Sheesh! She is not my daughter at all.
This is the cake I made her. BLEH!!!! I have a very active imagination and the picture in my head was gorgeous. I even found a picture from Ace of Cakes and thought. I can do that. I tried to upload the pic but there is some legal thing with that so, you can go to charm city cakes, click on "Not so Traditional, and it is called circles. You will have a good laugh if anything. It was very tough to cut chocolate.THey must have used Fondant. So, it turned out looking like a Boob. I was so upset, and Wade was looking at the picture all day. When I pulled out the cake he said" Wow, that really looks just like the picture" Guffaw!!! I know, I know, it looks nothing like the pic, but "I am the Jack.... or Jill rather of all trades, but Master of NONE!!"It looks terrible, but tastes Fabulous. Lindsey requested a chocolate cake with Cookies and Cream Ice Cream and Chocolate Frosting. She got it and a little bit more. I usually do well if I have a picture, not today.Oh well.
Yes, this is a picture of my backside. I am so glad that every year Wade decides to take one of me from the back. I am sure it his way of saying. "Did you know you look like this from behind?" The saying, "what you don't know wont hurt you comes to mind." AAH, the resurection is going to be great. Happy Birthday my sweet girl. Your momma Loves ya.
I have been tagged. 6 quirks, here goes.
1. I love to talk in accents. English, Scottish, Iraqi, Spanish, you name it. It is kind of a family thing. My family always quote movies, and we talk to each other in different accents.
2. I am a germ a phobe. I wash my hands all the time.I actually had to stop myself from being obsessive. When my kids were babies, my world was constant Lysol and soap and I had to talk myself out of being so anal. I would vacuum 2x a day, and clean everything everyday. I drove myself crazy. I don't use public bathrooms unless absolute emergency, and even then. NO SITTING! EW! and I can't stand to drink after someone else (even Wade).
3. I like to watch myself sing in the mirror like to "Wicked" or something and make it look like I am really that singer. Stopping and starting exactly when they do. (How embarassing)
4. I notice everyone's teeth. I can spot dentures, or a bridge a mile away. I just broke a tooth 2 weeks ago and it is killing me to look like a redneck mountain woman,It is in the back but still. Until Jan.I'll have to deal.I was a Dental Asst. before I had Lindsey, so I even look at people's fillings, or especially kids to see if they have brushed very well. Sometimes I want to pull people aside and give them a toothbrushing lesson. :)
5. There are certain foods, and smells for each season, movies, and music too. i.e. I can't burn a pumpkin spice candle in the summer EW! Summer smells for summer, Fall smells for fall etc.
Pumpkin can only be used in the fall, Then it is pumpkin mania. My kids and I are not allowed to watch Halloween movies until October, or Christmas movies until November 1st. Can't listen to Halloween music until October, or Christmas music until Nov. 1st. "We don't want the bloom rubbed off." (Nice Meet me in St. Louis)
6. I dream and picture myself thin. When I look in the mirror, or at pictures.. a lot of the time I am surprised. Weird I know. Now you know how KooKy I am. I could think of about 15 more, but they only asked for 6, so 6 it is.Now, I tag: Belly, Em., Bens' Jen, and JoD

Seasons Change

We are in the seasons changing mode. Hence the Orange and black background. My sister in law already has her Halloween one up. We both love Halloween. We woke up this morning to a freezilly 33 degrees. Brett went up to the Annual Gooseberry sleepover and they froze. He said all the boys were in the bottoms of their sleeping bags. Hahaha. We survived Annie Bangs. She even tried to pick him up,but he was too heavy.
O.K. so, Nat sent me a blog about hairstyles, and I spent over an hour looking through them all. I decided to take the challenge. This is supposed to be a flower. Did it again today, but made the ends shorter, so it was more spikey. So fun.I always thought I did cute things with my girls hair, but these ladies put me to shame. Thanx ladies for inspiring me.

Paityn, Paityn, Paityn

I know, I know, I know!! What a bad mother. I was blow drying my hair getting ready to go Visiting Teaching, and Paityn came in and said" Look Mom, I paint my nayws. She painted her nails alright. And her little face, body, toes, baby dolls, door, and walls!!! I used to look at pictures like this and think Where is there mother. Hello, why isn't she paying attention to her kids. Well, now that I am a mom, I understand. She got a stool, and climbed up onto the table, onto the counter, and somehow got into the top shelf of the cupboard to get my PERMANENT, yes, PERMANENT magic markers. I had to take her Visiting Teaching like this. Luckily other moms understand!
I actually felt guilty this morning for turning on the TV for her while I get ready. This morning I decided to just let her play without TV. Now I remember why I started that in the first place!!
This is what she does during Bretts football game.
She is always keeping us on our toes!!! We love you Paity Pait!

Labor Day Weekend

Everyone was exhausted by Monday.
We went to McKay and Tracys' house for Friday night and most of Saturday. We got to play with baby Jerzee ( paityn calls her that) and say hi to the girls for about 20 min. Gramma and Grampa took us up to Swiss Days in Midway. It was fabulous. Next year I am going to plan on it. Tracy and I walked up and down the aisles and commented on cute things. Next year we'll bring our notebooks and maybe even some money! I forgot my wallet at home. We walked around and listened to yodelers, and Swiss music. It was great. My mom has always loved that kind of stuff, and we always listened to yodeling one way or another. I can't wait for her to go.
Aunt Jenn took LIndsey and Brett over to the Shepherding contest. They listened to bagpipes, and ate a pulled Lamb sandwich and watched the dogs work. How awesome!!
Aunt Nat and Uncle Scott and the boys came up to our house on Saturday night. Gramma, Grampa, and Uncle Scott went home on Sunday, so the rest of us went all over Cove, Fishlake, and Johnsons Reservoir and went fishing. Wade got 6 fish I think and the kids got to reel them in.
WE found an awesome place to camp called Ivins Reservoir I think. It was so grassy and right by the river. So pretty! This is a picture of my Great Grandfather that is up in the lodge at Fishlake. Pretty Cool. I think. He was a fishing guide back in the day.
I do exist. There will be 3 or 4 pictures of me for my kids to see some day. This was up at Fishlake on a bridge.
Once again, beautiful scenery!

We also got to go to Aunt Jenns house to play with puppies. OOOH their breath was great!! They were so dang cute, you could just squeeze them.
They are called Shorkies I think. She is selling them and they are so darling! We got to see them being born. What an experience!
Brett couldn't get enough of them!AAAAAAAWWWWWWWWW!
Like I said before. Couldn't get enough.

Deer Creek Reservoir
A Golf Course in Midway
I found where I would like to live out my days: Midway. It was an absolutely beautiful place. All the houses looked like Swiss Chalets. They even had murals painted on the sides of deer, Elk, and flowers.

More Midway, you can't argue that it is beautiful. I hear it is cold in the winter, but everywhere in Utah is. I think I could do it.
