Mary Mary Quite Contrary

Brett and Paityn planting our Strawberry garden
Lindsey taking care of the Rhubarb. (any good recipes would be greatly appreciated) Never had it.

I am such a blog slacker!! So here we go on catch up. No pun intended.

Mary mary quite contrary how does your garden grow?

Well, not sure yet. This is actually my first ever garden. Yes, I know how silly but when you grow up in Vegas your gardening skills are limited. Our sweet neighbor let us use her garden plot. It is huge! So we only used 1/2. She had all these fun tools to use too. Couldn't tell you what the names are,but you'll see in the pics.
Somehow that got on the bottom. Anyway. See the fun thing Wade got to use? (Any names would be helpful)

This N That

Lindsey and Brett attended a Bicycle Safety Class at an Ins. Agency on Main Street. It was so fun. They got water bottles, pens, cookies and buttons. There are so many fun things to do here for our kids. It is great!
My little Ms. Independent. She loves to do everything by her self. Whoopsey!
I don't know what we'll do when summer is finally here. She loves to dress up in winter gear so much, I guess we will have to switch to summer gear. She likes to put all this on, but with no clothes. I tell you what, Brett and Paityn are 2 peas in a pod! Luckily Brett has grown out of the whole naked stage. AAAH. Relief
OH! Here is the summer gear, maybe we wont have too much of a problem.
However, she does have clothes on this time. Maybe there is hope :)

She absolutely loves the camera now. She wanted to take a picture with applesauce on her face. Kids. She hasn't started posing yet though like Lindsey did, so we'll see. Man, kids are awesome! I don't know why this al l ended up like this. It didn't look like this when I was typing it.

Crazy Cool Trampoline stuff

Last Saturday morning, Wade challenged Brett to learn a backflip and land it. It took 10 minutes and he was doing it. That and a side flip (not sure if that is made up or not). He is so excited you could hear him outside saying to himself: O.K. you can do it!, YAHOO!! I did it!
Now, the Saturday Wade was trying to teach him to flip backwards twice and land it. After 2x falling on his neck I called a stop to the whole thing! One is O.K. 2 is nutz! Call me overprotective, but I could see that boy in a wheelchair.
The same challenge was given to Lindsey and she is a little to scared for the backflip. No Problem here! I don't mind a bit!

Work, Work, Work

A little explanation is in order. We don't believe in allowance at our house. We live here together and they don't get paid for cleaning and keeping up the house and things. Now, our deal however is that we will buy them what they need and if they want something really big, or would like some spending money for a trip they have to do extra chores. This is a letter that Brett made up to earn money. His prices are quite exorbitant, like for instance the getting up for school thing. Paityn was sick and had thrown up, so I thought it was cute that he was willing to clean up puck(puke) for only 50cents. What a bargain!

Brett sure loves Paityn. He is the first one to get her in the morning, and if she isn't up he wakes her up. She calls him Bob and when it's time for the kids to come home from school, she runs and hugs both. She says about 2 or 3 times a day "mom, sissy, Bob?" I say "School", and she says"OOooh, skoo". They are so fun and growing up too fast.

Pinewood Derby

It is so exciting being in Scouts. Brett loves every minute of it. 4 boxes of cars later, Wade and Brett finished and were ready for the Pinewood Derby. The kids had a blast, and Brett won 3rd place! Look out Dale Earnhardt! (I think that is his name)

Saw this new site, thought I would try it out! It's a good feeling to know my little 2 year old likes to clean. Couldn't make a Momma prouder!!

Easter Dresses

We didn't get to wear the dresses on Easter, so here are the dresses from Sunday. Notice the Shnazzy curtain as a backdrop? It was so cold, so they had to wear sweaters, and I still haven't found a shirt to go under Lindseys dress.
